MDHA is composed of 67 chapters throughout Minnesota. These chapters work for the betterment of deer and deer hunting by educating youth and adult hunters, acquiring and improving deer habitat, and a variety of other community projects. Funds are raised by chapters' participation in banquets, Hides for Habitat, and other fundraisers.
