Sweepstakes Eligibility & Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR DONATION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase or donation does not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited by law.

This sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who are of legal age to possess firearms in their state of residence at the time of entry. All applicable federal, state, and local laws apply.

Employees, Board Members and directors of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association (MDHA) are not eligible to participate.

How to Enter

Participants may enter by purchasing entries where offered or by submitting a free entry.

To submit a free entry, send your full name, full mailing address, phone number, and email address to:  getoutdoors@mndeerhunters.com

Limit one free entry per person unless otherwise stated. All entries, whether paid or free, have equal odds of winning.

Winner Selection & Odds

The winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries after all available entries have been sold or once the stated end date (“drop-dead date”) has been reached, whichever occurs first. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

All entries are subject to verification. MDHA reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these official rules or applicable laws.

Prize Details

The prize is awarded as-is, with no substitutions or cash alternatives. All taxes, fees, and firearm transfer costs are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Firearm Transfer & Background Check

Any firearm prize must be transferred through a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer. Failure to pass a required background check or comply with applicable firearm laws will result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected.

Tax Notice

Winners may be required to complete IRS Form W-9. MDHA may issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC where required by law. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes.

Liability Release

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless MDHA and its affiliates from any and all claims, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in the sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize.

Privacy & Communications

By entering, participants consent to the collection and use of their information for sweepstakes administration and MDHA communications or promotions. Opting out of future communications does not affect sweepstakes eligibility.
