In light of the controversy surrounding a recent article published by our partners at Wolf.Report, I feel compelled to clarify a few things. First and foremost, MDHA and Wolf.Report are separate entities. We do not own or manage Wolf.Report. We simply agree with their mission of protecting Minnesota’s wildlife through effective and RESPONSIBLE wolf management. For this reason, we made the decision to sponsor their endeavor.

This brings me to my second point. When elected officials begin criticizing non-profit organizations and calling for them to be held to a higher standard, they should have their facts straight. To openly slander one non-profit organization for an action taken by another, is reprehensible at best. If anyone should be held to a higher standard, it should be those elected to lead.

Finally, MDHA prides itself on upholding factual information when making informed management decisions and firmly denounces any illegal taking of wildlife. Wolf.Report maintains this same standard.
