The Minnesota Deer Hunters Association (MDHA) is gearing up for its annual regional meetings across the state, and this year promises to bring exciting opportunities for members to get involved, learn, and share their thoughts. Whether you’re interested in MDHA’s mission, want to understand how the organization operates, or have questions to ask, these meetings are your chance to connect with fellow members and leadership.
For the first time, MDHA will also hold a virtual regional meeting in February, making it even easier for members to participate. Read on to learn all the details about this year’s meetings, what to expect, and how you can sign up to join.
What Are MDHA Regional Meetings?
Regional meetings are an annual tradition at MDHA, allowing members from across Minnesota to gather, discuss key initiatives, and engage with the organization on a deeper level. These meetings provide valuable insights into MDHA’s achievements over the past year, its financial standing, upcoming resolutions, and amendments.
MDHA Executive Director Jared Mazurek will personally attend all the regional meetings, giving members a unique opportunity to meet with leadership and gain a clearer understanding of the organization’s inner workings.
Meeting Schedule for January
The in-person regional meetings are scheduled throughout January across the state. This provides multiple opportunities for members to pick a meeting location that is most convenient. Jared will be traveling to every regional meeting, presenting updates and answering questions directly from members.
Topics Covered During the Meetings:
- Review of MDHA’s Resolutions and Amendments: Learn about the changes being proposed and how they’ll impact the organization and its members.
- Financial Overview: Gain insights into MDHA’s financial performance over the last year. Transparency is key, and you’ll have the opportunity to review where investments are being made and the impact they’ve had on conservation efforts.
- Q&A: Have your pressing questions answered in real time by MDHA’s leadership. This is a great chance to share your thoughts and give feedback that can help shape the organization’s future.
NEW: Virtual Regional Meeting in February
For those who can’t attend an in-person meeting, MDHA is holding its very first virtual regional meeting in February. This addition ensures that even more members can stay informed and engaged, no matter where they’re located.
Why Attend the Virtual Meeting?
- Accessibility: Attend from the comfort of your own home.
- Inclusivity: Perfect for members who live far from meeting locations or have busy schedules.
- Engagement: Receive the same information as in-person attendees, with plenty of opportunities for participation.
